LONDON — Jean Innes will step down as chief executive of the Alan Turing Institute later this year, following internal unrest and heightened government pressure over the institute’s strategic focus.
The institute said the transition comes as it concludes a transformation programme, with a search for a successor under way to steer the next phase of its work.
Reporting indicates the change aligns with increased emphasis on defence and national security priorities, alongside continued activity in areas such as health and the environment.
